  • The Mahindra BE 6e is a new electric SUV that has recently entered the Indian market. With its modern design and advanced features, it aims to stand out in the growing electric vehicle (EV) segment. But does it truly break new ground, or is it just another addition to the EV line-up? Design and Appearance

  • The Mahindra BE 6e showcases a sleek and aggressive look. Its front features sharp lines and distinctive LED daytime running lights (DRLs) that give it a commanding presence. The side profile is marked by smooth curves and flush door handles, enhancing its aerodynamic efficiency. At the rear, the SUV sports unique C-shaped LED tail lights connected by a light strip, adding to its futuristic appeal.

Interior and Features

  • Inside, the Mahindra BE 6e offers a driver-focused cabin with a modern layout. It comes equipped with dual 12.3-inch screens: one for the instrument cluster and another for the infotainment system. The dashboard is designed with a minimalist approach, featuring ambient lighting that adds to the premium feel. The SUV also includes features like wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos. It also contain boasting capacity of 455 liters, its boot doesn’t seem too large due to the limited height area, which makes stacking luggage a challenge; its loading height is high too.

Performance and Range

  • The Mahindra BE 6e is built on Mahindra’s INGLO platform and offers two battery options: a 59 kWh and a 79 kWh pack. The larger battery provides a claimed range of up to 682 kilometers on a single charge, while the smaller one offers around 535 kilometers. The electric motor delivers a power output of up to 286 horsepower, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds. It supports fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 20% to 80% in about 20 minutes using a 175 kW DC fast charger.

Safety and Technology

  • Safety is a priority in the BE 6e, which comes with seven airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). It also features Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking. Additionally, the SUV offers a 360-degree camera system and an auto-park assist feature for enhanced convenience

  • The Mahindra BE 6e is available in multiple variants, each offering distinct features and specifications to cater to diverse customer preferences. Here’s a breakdown of the variants and their respective pricing:

  • Please note that these prices are introductory and ex-showroom, applicable across India. The cost of the home charger is not included in the ex-showroom price and must be purchased separately. The on-road price, which includes RTO charges, insurance, and other fees, will be higher and varies depending on the city. For instance, in Mumbai, the on-road price for the Pack One variant is approximately ₹19.87 lakh.
